Our Chaplain

Rev. Eric Jackson is a graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with his Master of Divinity and serves as Pastor at Bethel Baptist Church, Fort Deposit, Alabama. Chaplain Jackson is currently chaplain for the Montgomery Police Department, the Montgomery Fire Department, the Department of Emergency Communications and the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office. He has experience as a police officer, emergency medical technician and volunteer firefighter. He applies both education and experience to the public safety ministry. Chaplain Jackson is certified as a police chaplain by the International Conference for Police Chaplains and is certified as a fire chaplain by the Federation of Fire Chaplains. This training experience includes Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) and conferences in chaplaincy and post-traumatic stress.

 

Our Volunteer Chaplains

 

Rev. Freeman Walker Sr. and Rev. Ron Smith currently serve as volunteer chaplains for the Montgomery Police Department and the Emergency Communications Center.  Rev. Nick Sebastian serves as volunteer chaplain for the Montgomery Fire Department and Emergency Communications Center.  Rev. Marcus (Mark) Merritt has been appointed to serve as the Montgomery County Sheriff's office chaplain.
