Unconventional and demanding work
hours, life-threatening work environments, and the heavy responsibility of
protecting the citizens of Montgomery
produce high levels of stress for these
public servants. To address this need a group of churches from a variety of
denominations formed the Interdenominational Public Safety Chaplain Service.
The purpose is to offer spiritual counseling to all officers and
employees of the Montgomery Police and Fire Departments upon request.
